Hydra Delay hidden fonction ?

Hi ! i found an hidden fonction on the hydra delay. I used on/off/on spdt switch instead of on/off spdt switch. So I get:

Head 1 Head 2 Head 3 Head 4
Switch pos1 On On On On2
Switch pos 0 Off Off Off On1
Switch pos 2 Off Off Off

Head 4 is the rightmost or the leftmost switch?

If I read correctly, I only have to install the on-off-on to position 4, correct?

Thread 'Understanding the Hydra Switches - Schematic Analysis'

Found this schematic of the Hydra circuit in the forum, and I'm trying to understand how the switches work in tandem with the FV1. Pins 16, 17 and 18 (S0, S1 and S2 respectively) are connected to three of the switches, one each. The pinouts refer to these as related to program selection, so I'm imagining that when the heads are turned on or off it's actually a different program on the EEPROM. I've been wondering how 1P8T switches work for these FV1 circuits as well, but admittedly haven't checked out a schematic of one yet (guess I'll go check this out later on today).

Looking at the schem in the thread @ICTRock posted-- I think head4 on2 is just head 4 on
Head 4 On1 would still be head 4 off.
Or maybe inverse of that. But I think that's correct.
 
Another way to drive the Hydra into oscillation and be able to control it hook lugs 2 and 3 ( if I remember correctly, could be 1 and 2 instead, it’s been a while since I did it) of the swell and speed pots to a 5k or 10k dual gang and a dpdt momentarily definitely works best with heads 2 and 4 on. The dual gang will let you control the ramp up.

The toggle switch for head 4 acts like a volume control that is either all the way on (3.3V) or all the way off (0V).

When your toggle switch is in the center position the FV-1 pin is left floating somewhere between 0 - 3.3V, so it's giving a third setting with reduced volume compared to the normal "ON" position.

I think what he's saying is that the middle position on head 4 is the "bonus".

"ON 1" - regular mode (stock functioning, head 4 switch up, normal loudness)
"ON 2" - bonus mode (head 4 switch in middle position, which would be quieter)

Did the mod, center position is indeed quieter. I don't think it does *more* self oscillation, definitely not by itself.

Heads 3 and 4 together definitely create self oscillation with delay/swell maxed, but that doesn't depend on the middle position.

Middle position, as a result of its lower volume no doubt, seems to create different relationships to the other delay lines when the pedal is self oscillating. Seems to create some interesting overtones, so I'm going to keep the on-off-on in there for a bit to explore
