Behold!
I've been on a tear recently, as vintage pedals have pissed me off with their vintage-ness.
Ooohhh, you're all old and shit. Laaaa deeee dahhhh. Well, fuck you. I'm gonna make you worse.
This one I bought simply because it's dimensionally similar to a colorsound...and the circuit inside seems to be a take on the inductor-less colorsound wah. I haven't spent much time dissecting it, though. I'll trace it out eventually.
The real purpose here was to get a physical enclosure that is similar to a colorsound in my hands so I can reverse-engineer the enclosure itself. My plan is to eventually do something with finger-jointed aluminum and a 3d printed actuator arm. Its gonna be a ton of work, but it'll be worthwhile in the end.
So: this fucker came to me totally broken
The shaft that the pedal pivots on was previously held in by a pair of plastic doo dads that had long since cracked to oblivion and could not be saved. Or so one might think.
No, I'm a crafty pedal-ruiner. So I shoved about a million plastic welding staples in there, epoxied the shit out of the things, and inserted a couple of threaded m3 fittings to keep it all together. The result? Hey, it actually works now!
So, not being satisfied with simply ruining the aesthetics of a mechanical portion of the pedal that absolutely is not seen...much...I decided to really fuck with it and add true-bypass and an option for a center negative 9vdc power supply.
Just to really piss off the vintage purists out there, I also added my Stickman Industrial, LLC "Don't Fuck Up My Wah" (TM) filtration and protection board.
And when I say "I", I actually mean the stickchildren that I pay in lumps of coal and old cheese. I'll tell you, this new generation just isn't grateful enough for the work that I give them. When I was a child, I had to beg daddy for the keys to the rolls so I could go and manage other children on the factory floor. The exertion of requesting such favors wore on me, but learning to work my way up from the bottom certainly made me the man I am today!
Anyways, behold!
