I'm gonna build 38 RAT pedals..

Got a bunch of stuff from a old radio/tv repairman retiring.
Lots of silicon transistors and diodes and some germanium as well.
But also some IC's
Notably..metal can LM308H's!
38 of 'm to be precise.
Look like National Semiconductor brand.
Are these the "mojo" ones for a RAT?
Most have same letter font printed, some have a bigger font.
See pictures.

And run them all in series, maxed out!

So... 38 all the same (selling/gifting some),
or are you going to build a variety of Rat variants?

ProCo's own variants such as Turbo, Fat, Deucetone, etc...
Idiot Box Blower Box
Dunwich Volt Thrower
Rous
Reutze-modded
Tranter-modded
Caroline Wave Cannon
VFE Alpha Dog
etcetera...

Not to mention, but doing so anyway...
Bixonic Expandora
Drolo Giant Hogweed
Roger Mayer Mongoose
Roger Mayer Voodoo Bass
Roger Mayer Voodoo — w/ Chuck D. Bones mods
Roger Mayer Voodoo
and...?

Package suffixes:
N: Plastic DIP-8 package
H: Metal can (TO-99) package
J: Ceramic DIP-8 package
M: SOIC package

NatSemi documentation says that the ‘A’ represents an electrical grade—typically an improved process, die rev, performance bucket, etc. Referencing datasheets with both -A and non-A devices, the -A devices have slightly improved input offset voltage, large signal voltage gain, CMRR, and PSRR specs.

Part numbers:
The LM108 is guaranteed from -55°C to + 125°C, the LM208 from - 25°C to + 85°C, and the LM308 from 0°C to + 70°C. Note there are also differences with supply voltages, etc. between the different part numbers, but temperature is the big one.

Title was exaggeration of course, but I'm indeed tempted to build a couple of variations on the RAT etc
Already build the expandora but no longer have it (Sold to a fan of those modern ZZ top tones)
I think I'll just start with the basic rat and take it from there with variations and different mods.

Thnx for your expertise!
Copy-pasted it in my archives 🤘🏼
