Intermittent foot switch issues

The footswitch on my recently finished Simulcast is having an issue: when in bypass it usually passes the signal normally, but sometimes the signal gets weak/scraggly and goes back to normal if I I softly tap it.

What would likely be causing the issue? Bad switch, bad wiring? Thanks IMG_2508.jpg

They feel pretty solid
That's usually caused by a bit too much heat applied to the foot switch. It normally happens when I use a 3PDT daughter board. Some cheaper footswitches are more sensitive to heat than others. The red ones from Tayda with the soft click have been the worst for me. But yah, if you tap and jiggle the foot switch and it fixes the issue then its a bad foot switch.
