It All started With...

an e-mail from Stew-Mac in March announcing their new Klon Klone. So I ordered it and built it. Then it was the Refractor. Then two Protaitone Klones. Then I gutted one of the Chinese Klones and installed StopBox's Clone kit that uses PedalPC's Kliche board. Then a Demonfx Dual gun that I outboarded the dip switches on. Then Aion's Duellist Clone(The Gladiator). Then PedalPCB's Paragon. Then Aion's version of a KOT which is the Theseus. As I progressed from one project to another I started adding SIP sockets and outboard switches for Dip switch functions. On the Theseus I added an extra diode in the of the two paths to have switchable asymmetrical clipping. Just finished that on Thursday. I'm assuming that the board in the Stew-Mac Ghost Drive is really a Kliche board. I gave one of the Chinese Klones to a friend. He doesn't know it yet, but he's getting the Dual Gun and the Theseus too. His playing skills are far and away much better than mine. They always have been. Here's the lineup: 100_0335.JPG 100_0336.JPG

I don’t know you’re intentions with this thread, but for me, it all started with the need for a good compressor at a decent price. I was gigging every weekend, and I needed to better compressor. I couldn’t find one I wanted to afford until I ran across BYOC, and I thought, why not? 11+ years later. I am no longer in a band nor do I have a need for any of the 100s of pedals I’ve built.

If you weren’t looking for how we fell into pedal building, my apologies.

Nope, this is the build forum and I did some building. Hadn't built a guitar pedal since my first in the late 60's. It was a Knight Kit fuzz box. Yes, I'm an old guy! I am remiss however in not thanking PedalPCB for this forum and the parts offered. And to Aion, StompBoxParts, and others for parts, kits, etc. So thanks to all here and the companies helping us!!
