I'm going to stick with Team Tubescreamer is overrated, but I'll caveat that by saying that while a Tubescreamer into a clean or just breaking up amp sounds meh, I have to concede that it's a very useful tool for cutting bass and boosting mids when put in front of a higher gain amp. But a well-tuned Muff is still more fun to play through; try a Dope Priest if you haven't already. I'm guessing 880.
