What phaser did you use the j201s in?I used j201s in another phaser, but you have to change some values, they have more gain and are harder to calibrate.
Not really. I'm in Australia. So for 2 matched quads plus shipping its about $55AUD. Plus it's something I'd like to try my hand at. And I can put those other jfets to use.if all you are after is a matched quad the matched quad of 2sk208 are $8 and you are already over that buying 20 and not sure if that’s enough.
damn that’s more than I would have thought … ok that’s valid,Not really. I'm in Australia. So for 2 matched quads plus shipping it’s about $55AUD.
Thanks for this!Smds are a little more consistent, in my experience. Get about ten or 15, whatever make sense for shipping purposes.
Did you match them or just use whatever?2SK30A-GR Is what I used in SMD.
I started measuring them to match. After the 6th or 7th one in a row which was in range, I just assumed (ha) that the batch I got would be good enough to go blind with. It's an easy test, just a DMM and a few parts.Did

Thanks. This makes me feel better. I tested about 15 2n5457s and they all measured pretty much the same. I assumed I was doing something wrong. Maybe not.I started measuring them to match. I ended up using these jfets. Either I matched correctly or them being from the same batch were close enough. I now have a rad phaser.Thanks. This makes me feel better. I tested about 15 2n5457s and they all measured pretty much the same. I assumed I was doing something wrong. Maybe not.
