SOLVED Kliché Overdrive power issue

i just got a 3 pin DC jack i wanted to use. i swapped out the 2 pin DC jack and made sure the wires were correct but now the pedal wont turn on. when i test continuity between + and - the multimeter beeps...what am i doing wrong lol

What jack are you trying to use? Is it a metal or plastic one?

So, metal? Those are for center positive power supplies. You’re shorting the 9V in to the enclosure which is grounded by the jacks. You’ll have to replace it with a plastic jack.

damn ok :/ i hate the jacks that secure inside and that why i swapped. guess im swapping back lol thanks for the help!
