lovepedal plexi 100

Most of the lovepedal's Plexi's use a OpAmp & don't have any transistors on the Board
The current Plexi 100 is usally a1590BB with a Plexi circuit plus a Boost with 2 footswitches???
This looks like a fuzz circuit with what is shown here!???

According to a post elsewhere by @coltonius:
"The 100 is a COT with a rudimentary tone knob (input cap blend) > FET Deluxe 60"

Just glancing over the values on that PCB, it looks like that could very well be the case.

I've got two hand-drawn schematics, but I'm not sure which one to use...

Could probably use both schematics, they go hand-in-hand...

I seem to have lost it. Ugh. The following information is from memory, according to a later SNS version:

The Tone control blends between two input capacitors:
  • Lug 1 > smaller cap
  • INPUT > Lug 2
  • Lug 3 > larger cap

The Gain control was the COT50's Bias
(It looks like the version pictured above uses BAT46 clipping diodes in the COT part of the circuit.)

The Delux 60 MOSFET was the same as the schematic on The Revolution Deux, including the Master Volume.

Thanks for that info.

The TONE has me curious, though. That would provide a weird balance, wired as a voltage divider, wouldn't it?

At mid-rotation you'd have the small-cap and large-cap summing for the full value of the two added together, but at full rotation to the large-cap you'd have only the large-cap's value without the small-cap added on top.

I would guess that the small-cap would be always in circuit, and the pot wired as rheostat re-directing signal flow to the large-cap, as per this example from Joe Gore:

Alternatively wired thusly, a 4n7 in the path with a 100n coming off the variable resistor:

Not sure how lug 2 changes things up between the above two schematics, if at all...

Hey, I’m just telling you what I traced, not what sounds best! I remember it distinctly because the this Plexi iteration used the same method as several older Devi Ever designs.
