Low volume on Powersound Overdrive

Newbie here, and this is my 2nd pedal build. I'm getting sound out of the pedal, but its really quiet, and can only be heard when the volume knob is all the way up. Bypass works fine. I did sub out the BC109s for BC549s, and all of my resistor/cap values are correct as far as i can tell. Using a 9v power supply. Could it be because of the transistors?

So flipping them will fix it? Aren't the BC109s EBC and the BC549s CBE?

The Powersound footprints are CBE looking from the top of the board.

If your BC549 units are CBE as well, convention says you have them reversed, as @Nostradoomus pointed out.

yes it will 100% fix it
