Once again a pedal I never gave much thought to , and was pleasantly surprised! CA8D89C2-6C88-4CE8-98D4-6B6ED516E266.jpeg the LPB-1 is a great clean boost, went with a lower HFE 5089 instead of the 5088 ( what I Had on hand at the time ) super easy build low parts count obviously, getting the wires as straight as I could was the hardest part. 52DCF8F0-69F2-464F-A67F-32EEC1D4D9E7.jpeg

I know this is a “classic” boost and there are more “booteekey” boosts out there. With all the boosts I’ve built I think I could be very happy with just this and the Modus Operandi. Those two cover a lot of territory.

I'm thinking of reviving this on the breadboard to see if I can make the input cap blendable or if it should stay switchable.

Great looking build!

Lovely job inside and out. It's funny that I've largely ignored the lpb-1 since it was new (dating myself here) and recently found that it does wonders in either small or large amounts. I guess Matthews got it right the first time.

I've never used a lpb-1. It's one of those classic pedals that I always forget about.
I would have never even paid any attention to it if I wasn’t gifted the board. With a comp into my Mesa it’s a great clean tone especially with a delay it’s seems to get along with everything I throw at it.

I like that it doesn’t color things to much, not to loud, not to “tight” just that little somethin.
