Madbean florist chorus/vibrato

Harry Klippton

Not Interested
Hey, @Harry Klippton finished a pedal?? Yeah like a week ago and I even played it for several hours over the course of a week.

A while back @jjjimi84 offered to paint something for me and this is one of the builds I didn't have an idea for. Of chorus (see what I did there?) he knocked it out of the park!

This was a straightforward build. I had to teepee my last 2 10k resistors cuz I didn't have any 20ks. I hit it with a signal generator before wiring or boxing and it was ready to wobble.

How does it sound? Well it sounds pretty cool, ya know, for a chorus. The volume knob has a nice sweep and can get a little above unity but not too nutty. The blend knob is cool for getting chorus, vibrato, and some in between sounds. Nice range of speeds available from so slow it's barely noticeable to faster than I'd use. I haven't really gotten the hang of the bloom control yet. It mostly seems like a "make worse" control.

Ok on with the photos

And finally, here are a couple VERY brief sound samples, cuz a build report ain't complete without em.
Chorus
Vibrato

I've always been curious about how that circuit sounds compared to the Little Angel that I built. Does it alter your tone in any way? Did you have any issues with the delay chip latching up?

I haven't had any latching issues. I did notice today it's a little noisy though. I might try a couple other 2399s. Can't really say if it alters my tone at all either but I can do some experiments to find out
