Mahayana IC

The more I read about an IC for my Mahayana build, the more confused I get.

There seems to be a number of substitutes for the AD712 IC and since I will be using a socket I can try different options. I've looked at Digikey and Mouser and I can't decide which to try. Suggestions and advice please.

Also would appreciate suggestions and advice on which transistors to use.

Thanks a bunch

This is what I typically put in them.. Kinda spendy .. Plain ole TL072 works fine too

Thanks
I'm going to go with the OPA 2134. I'll use a socket so I can have some flexibility.
Always go with the sockets in the case of ICs. Nobody needs the stress desoldering an IC.
The OPA2134 is maybe a bit overkill in an overdrive, but at that time the Hermida was developed they still were affordable.

literally any dual opamp will work. (personally i wouldn't bother with the OPA2134 for a drive circuit)

as mentioned above, if you use an 8-pin IC socket (or build the circuit on a breadboard) you can then audition any one of these opamps to determine which you like the sound of the most.

Also would appreciate suggestions and advice on which transistors to use.
build doc specifies 2N7000:
