CONTEST Mark it Donnie!

I posted this in the build reports a few weeks ago and don't have any pictures of the state of the enclosure before covering it in tweed but this one has been through a few iterations before actually becoming a real pedal. I had originally bought the enclosure for this for a dual overdrive and boost and was to have an eternity and SHO put in it. Unfortunately I dropped it during the paint stage and ruined the white paint on the top. It was around this time that I switched to powdercoated enclosures so I ordered a white 1590B from Banzai and this one ended up in a box for a few years.

After seeing @cooder s awesome builds on Madbean I asked him how he installs his fantastic looking acrylic faceplates. Armed with this knowledge I went out and bought a tap and die set and some cool looking bolts like the ones he uses and fished this enclosure out of a box to reuse. I was going to fit a KoT circuit this time but made an absolute mess of the drilling. The four corner holes which I bought the tap and die set for were a disaster and I drilled two of the pots on the left side of the enclosure too close together. So again this enclosure went into a scrap box and like the tap I die set I bought for this task has never been seen again...until now.

I felt bad that I'd abused it so badly so it made sense to use this as part of my scrapyard dogs series so with a fresh coat of tweed (which thankfully is thick enough to hide many extra holes and the sins which went along with them. I ended up with this.

I love this pedal and it's been the only drive pedal I've used since I finished it a few weeks ago. I love that it's mostly made up of reject parts which have never made it into a finished article before and if you look closely you can see

- tweed on the inside from extra holes for other circuits
- the volume and drive pots on the left hand side are closer together than the right
- if you zoom in to the bottom left and right hand corners you can see where I totally messed up the drilling for the tap and die for the bolts for cooders acrylic faceplate method.

Despite it's faults it's a fantastic pedal which still manages to look cool and has a real character all of it's own.

I am telling you right now you will forget to hit record at least 50 times and then have to edit out the 300 fucks you say when you ramble.

Or at least I do. The last video was down to the wire because i forgot to hit record on the drilling portion…

Good thing I have 50 125b enclosures here and odds are I am going to need one drilled in the same layout.

Nothing so brilliant...you know those scissor-type egg slicers? Well, I use them to slice mushrooms.......NO, I didn't clamp my finger, sheesh! I jammed it into a couple blades later in the dishwasher. 😧

I started storing my flush cutters blades down after getting got under my thumb nail when reaching for them only half looking at what I was doing. Sure does wake you up!

What camera are you using? I need a new pedal cam
It's a GoPro Hero5. I think they are currently on iteration 9. It's just a small cube. I have a lot of gizmos (appear to be 3D prints) to attach it to practically anything. I use my phone to control it.
