This was actually my first build back from my hiatus.

I was looking through my "library" of boards and came across this that looked like an easy build. (I should have started with a PPCB project hahah)

I don't recall buying this but after chatting with @Guardians of the analog about it and how much he likes his I decided to build it out.

This is a pedal version of the old Boss belt clip on units that were "re-discovered" and made famous by guitarists like The Edge using them.
It's basically a FET boost but something about the circuitry gives your tone a nice bit of sumpin sumpin.

The way @bean implemented it, there's a set of clipping diodes in the circuit so it can do a really clean boost or it can do a "dirty boost" or even act as a light overdrive.

Like most MBP projects, this was designed with side jacks in mind but I converted it to top jacks, which gives it the "Joseph Merrick" kinda look with the knob placements.

I didn't have a 9mm plastic shaft pot in the right value so this pedal got 4 pretty tightly packed knobs.
The two toggles control a bass boost to use with bass and the other brings the clippers into the circuit.

I've been running it with the bass boost on and just makes everything sound "bigger" and more "3D" (yah, I know, that's an overused term:)

So after I put it together and fired it up.......it didn't work.......heh. Nice way to get back into it Mike!!!
I VERY reluctantly started doing some troubleshooting and it turned out to be something easy and stupid. (I had pushed one of the buss wires for the 3PDT wiring a bit too far into the board and it shorted out against the neighboring wire. Once I clipped that off it worked just fine.

Anyway, this is a great punchy little boost pedal that has a lot of versatility.

I may add a demo later if there's any interest. I mean, like, it's a boost.....it makes your toanz bigger.....:)

Glad you like it! Also, top mounted jacks on a 1590B is even too crazy for me :) I've never even tried it.

Oh wait, never mind. I just remembered I have. Never again!
