This is a great compressor really punchy and smooth at the same time. And as a SciFi fan, who compresses space and time like the guild navigators from Dune? Right? (One of my favorite flix as a kid.) Ok down to the dirty I did have a bit of trouble with it as I actually installed 27ohm resistors instead of 27k but I will just chalk it up to me mixing up the bags, soon as I realized my mistake while troubleshooting easy fix, Iong story short Story had an CA3080 so I ran that, the clipping control is a must if you run high output humbuckers but the pedal truly shines with split or single coils.

Oh man, the David Lynch Guild Navigators! How cool! So how does it sound compared to the Opto compressors? I've come close to ordering this a few times.....still might! It sounds like the best of two great compressors, the Barber Tone Press and Keeley.

It’s a lot more aggressive than an Optical for sure it’s not subtle at all.

First off

By adding the clean signal back in it can get subtle, dial it back more aggressive. Unlike most ota comps, this one doesn't pump on high sustain settings.

I need to play with it more, kind of forgot about the blend knob while I was focused on how hard I could run it with humbuckers without it clipping like some compressors.
