I was pretty excited when I found out that there was a DMM project that fits in a 125B.
There’s a lot of parts here, but the MadBean docs really set you up for success. I did the input impedance mod, noise reduction mod, and extended modulation mod.
I’ve calibrated it by ear and probe. Probably the easiest BBD calibration I’ve done.
I wasn’t able to mount the combination of rate pot and two LEDs with the bezel caps (or whatever you call that plastic piece). So I trimmed the LED leads and added enough wire to mount the LEDs before putting the PCB in.
I accidentally ordered a dumb large BP 2.2uf cap. I tried to fit it. That plus a misaligned input jack was a no-go. So I pulled the cap out, and put a parallel 1.5uf + 68uf pair in place of it.
I love the way this sounds. Highly recommended.
