Finally finished this one up last week. I started it last year, but hit some snags with parts ordering mistakes and was honestly a little intimidated by the stacked boards so it languished in the build drawer as I finished a lot of simpler builds.

There's some pretty apparent white noise if the blend is up high, which I was initially surprised about, but once I dialed it in to any setting I would actually want to use, it's not really noticeable, and I really like the delay and modulation sounds. The build doc lists a handful of suggested mods from the stock DMM values, but the only one I did was swapping in TL072s for the 4558s. I adjusted all the trimmers per the "by ear" instructions thinking I might go back and try the "with an oscilloscope" procedure, but honestly I'm pretty happy with it the way it is, so I'm not sure I'll bother.

Posca pen lettering and rattle can clear coat for the enclosure. This is one of the last enclosures I prepped for last winter with gloss clear coat. Hopefully I'll be getting into this year's batch soon which I did in matte clear.

My stacked board fear was definitely misplaced. Everything about the build went smooth once I got to work. Brian's build docs are very comprehensive with photos and step by step build instructions. There's also a mouser order sheet for all the special low profile parts which makes that part foolproof. The build does require a PCB pin toggle switch which I didn't catch on the first pass, but there's always something I guess.

Sound-wise this is by far my favorite delay I've built. Highly recommended if you're after a DMM sound.
