Yes, YATS. I moved to a smaller board recently and auditioned a lot of the pedals I had on hand to fill the overdrive/boost pedal slot. What ended up taking that spot was the madbean green bean, a tube screamer with clipping options and a bass knob. What's funny is I ended up only using it in stock form. I remembered I had been gifted this board from @MichaelW so I got to work on a straight up vintage version of the polarizing boomer bends box.
This version is the very first V1 edition of the pedal. Known as the "narrow box" version, it differs in the fact that it uses two LM1458 dual opamps. One replaces the the two transistors in all other versions of the pedal for the input and output buffers. The other is in place of the holy grail 4558
Regardless of what makes the build sound so good, it does sound and feel great under the fingers. I'm using it as a boost for my dirty Shirley amp build. Compared to the sd-1 i was using this is less aggressive and more neutral pushing the amp. It's also has the lowest noise floor of all the pedals I tested as a boost. As always @szukalski did a great job with the layout. I also used one of his mini relay boards because fuck 3pdt switches. For the artwork I went with Doom who I did a while back for another forum member. I used the lawn green tayda enclosure for the UV print to have a better contrast with the image. Turned out great and it got Velcro immediately and is on the pedalboard. Thanks Dave and Mike for the stuff to make this one happen.
