Median (Wampler Ego 76)

Building a compressor was high on my list and a clean blend was part of my desired features, so the Median seemed an obvious choice. I subbed LM833N ICs instead of the OP1678 chips based on a few threads here. Again, like the couple other simultaneous builds, I wanted to keep the design similar to the original so I went with the blue and white color scheme and even silver speckled the paint.

Thanks to all the other Median builds and discussion on the forum to get the chips subbed. It’s such a versatile compressor and sounds great. I think I need to build two more. This one is going on my bass board, but I need one for my guitar rig and my musician son really likes it, so I think he’s getting one as well.
