Found this on the Blackstar Fly 3 - talk about going down the rabbit hole - amazingly good write-up on the construction, circuit. Can't believe what they pack into these things.

For the technically inclined(!) grab a cup of coffee and read thru this guys teardown and reverse engineering schematics. Impressive.

You got me considering the Fly-3 and I already own an Orange Micro Crush. I should just upgrade the speaker on that.

A little one-watter. A Marshall DSL1Hr. I also picked up a Celestion Greenback 12" x 16Ω x 25w, to go in my 1x12 cab.

You got me considering the Fly-3 and I already own an Orange Micro Crush. I should just upgrade the speaker on that.

I almost bought the Orange PPC12 cab to prop up that little Marshall, but I've got a nice solid pine 1x12 with an 8Ω in it, so I just got the speaker instead.
