I’ve been delving into these types of builds, and starting to get more comfortable and gradually working toward cleaner results. I picked up and completed the full kits for the Verb Deluxe and the Thunderdrive Deluxe from Amplified Parts and enjoyed those builds, but I’m coming clean that I ordered a box of 1/2W resistors on Amazon and built this one using the build doc posted online and parts I had on hand while waiting for other projects and parts to arrive.
This is a great sounding overdrive. It surprised me because I didn’t love the harsh tones I’d heard and seen in YT videos where seemingly a room mic was used, but it sounds fairly compressed and smoother in person.
Fairly straightforward and fun build for newbies like me to this build type. Small bear 1590BB enclosure, Cricket vinyl for the barbell graphic, green ring 3PDT stomp switch.
