Just finished this up last week. I apparently had this board half finished from over 3 years ago since I have the old 50V Wima 1uF caps in it and a genuine THAT4103 IC. I did the mods that are floating around here to add Range and Shift controls to change how the gate does it's thing. I put the Range shift outside and labeled it Soft Up/Hard Down, added a ground lift to the Key In jack. I am probably going to replace those 100nF caps with Wima brand to match the others and swap the 560nF with an MLCC since the Kemet is pretty big.

Hey, looks good.

Could you please describe the mods you have made? I know the range switch and shift, but you have added a couple more.

Here is what I did: I replaced R7 and R10 with B10k potentiometers with legs 2 and 3 tied together to make 2 variable resistors to change Threshold behavior and to fine tune the key input signal. I put a ground lift between the Key Input sleeve and the ground pad between the Tip and Tip Switched pads to get rid of any potential hum. And finally I swapped the internal slide switch for an external toggle switch and renamed it to Soft Gate/Hard Gate.

Thanks. That all makes sense, except for the ground lift. What does that do? Mine is noisy AF when the key isn't connected to ground.
