Mojotone have some great products, but their service...

I used to run a small business that was mostly international sales. Now I don't even do international shipping unless it's to family

If you can make enough profit in your own Country, why bother with the minority in other countries. that's the way I see it.
Covid is still being used as an excuse for increased prices????
You guys in the USA complain about Tayda all the time with shipping costs, They are the only one's I know that can ship in 3 or 4 days tops to Australia for $10.75 USD with DHL!, they deliver on Sundays also.
I can get like 6 enclosures, 2 dozen pots, 200 components so you know where I'm purchasing from.
My order from Monday is being delivered today, 3 days!

Tayda didn't have one 600V cap in this order & AES was linked Antique Electronic Supply, the cap was 39c & $18.00 USD shipped to Australia.
I spoke to the PCB supplier & he said I could use a 3KVA 2n2 MLCC cap that I could get locally , $1.30 AU!
It pays to ask & Shop around!

It's not that the packages don't arrive. People report the package as lost because they take so long then Stompbox Parts ends up sending a replacement out and the customer receives the original order after the replacement order is already on the way.
Happens almost every time.

Also, PayPal (and most credit card processors) doesn't care what your terms and conditions state ... If a shipment doesn't arrive the seller is responsible for a refund or perpetual replacements, even if the shipping method clearly states "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK".

GlobalPost is the worst. They can take 2 - 3 months to arrive in extreme cases, tracking stops about three days into transit, and if the customer contacts them they say the shipment should have arrived within a week or two and to contact the seller because it is probably lost.

Their insurance is a joke, they only cover loss if tracking shows the package was delivered (huh?). If by some miracle tracking does indicate it was delivered they use that as an excuse for rejection.

I'd drop the method altogether but quite a few international customers depend on it for small orders where First Class doesn't make sense.

The positive, however, is that although they take forever, the usually do show up, eventually ... and more folks are understanding than not.

First Class within the USA has been the real killer lately. Packages never get a tracking scan and just completely vanish, while others that were dropped off in the same load get a tracking scan within 24 hours.

USPS First Class is trackable to our front door!
Consider yourself lucky. First Class has gotten to where tracking is useless even across town.

And on that note, "Ground Advantage" is First Class. USPS changed the name. It's not some fancy new expedited method, and the shipper isn't cheaping out and charging for First Class then shipping with some inferior method. It's exactly the same thing, same price, same spotty service, different name.

Isn't it amazing how world politics affects the tiny world of guitar pedal PCB distribution?

(Sorry - mentioned the word politics. Feel free to delete my post!)

If they were going on their reputation as the Best Transformers available for the money you pay, you should have got Overnight delivery???
After it was in the mail, I would have sent a message that I may try Heyboer next time!
Did you have to return the Faulty one to them before they would send it, It's been 5 weeks since you posted it on here there was a issue?

Nah they realised that postage would be outrageous to return the faulty transformer. I guess they just trusted me because I've bought so bloody many!

So maybe you can fire the non working one up with a little luck with some exploration??? (y)
You got nothing to lose & you may Gain a spare PT to offset the pain of the chassis debacle!

and then there's cabintech - holy crap, i don't know how they do it - they'll send a tube of ICs for less than $5 and get it done in less than 2 weeks.
Well, not so much any more... as of this week its about $10.50 to ship (low value orders) most anywhere in the world. We have a plan to get that down to maybe $8 or $9, but we will not be able to get back under $5 again. USPS and various carrier rule changes.
