CONTEST Name that board

CONTEST
How about one of those obligatory "Getting Started" (pinned) topics, to include all the greatest hits under a single roof? I know it may seem as though nobody actually reads these, but for every person who misses or ignores them, there are probably 5 who benefit from them (y).

Classics, like;

Why?
Will we be doing any pumpernickel?
How do I read a schematic?
What supplies do I need, and where do I get them?
How do I make a guitar pedal from a breadboard project?

@fig I love this idea! I agree more experienced people will skip these over, but there will be many more noobs who wander into this forum who will give them a look and possible benefit. There's a ton of articles online to cover a lot of these basics, but creating a more central "library" will be very helpful.

Schematic reading will be HUUUUGE for people wanting dive into the rabbit hole of mods in addition to the amount of content that can be on there.

Things like:
What are all those symbols?
Whats the difference between 100k and 100r resistor? 1nf vs 1uf capacitors?
From schematic to breadboard (although this will be the heart of the breadboard section)
What are some common mods anyone can do for the type of pedal?

Also worth considering, but would be more technical and possibly bore some folks here although I like learning :p

How does a transistor work?
How does an op amp work?
Buffers vs boosters
Resistor-Capacitor tone Filters
Breaking apart tone stacks
Diode clipping

How about Board Session ?
Taking your idea and running with it...

"BOARD SHORTS"

Long-boarding will refer to anything on the ProtoBoard.
Short-boarding is of course for the ProtoBoard Micro.

Could have info on...
catching the perfect signal wave when it's cranking,
getting peak performance,
how to read the currents,
how to handle a spark attack,
what to select from your quiver and
when to drop in (a chip),
or cut back (wire insulation),
how to handle glassy, tubes...
how to handle each section,
what to do when you hit the wall,
handling floaters,
grabbing the rails,
backing out components,
snap to side-slip,
tomb-stoning,
pipe-tricks...

No it was my bastardized version of Chucks mod to the pop top... I was very surprised at how tube like the sound and response is. I don’t know why it did get more traction.

Good morning, and good news!

I think I've managed to gather all the entries to name the new breadboarding thread. If I missed yours, it's only because I missed it, or I must have just missed it. Either way, if it's missing, then I've missed it.
Please let me know if I missed any and I will add it, them, they to the list.

That's not good news, but this might be!

Everyone who submitted an idea gets a $10 PedalPCB gift card to spend on a Protoboard-Micro or some other far out circuit-wizardry.

Next, we have to choose the winning entry and.....Name That BreadBoard!

There were some excellent entries, so it will be a tough choice. In the event of a tie...

No, not that kind of tie...

...the names of the finalists will be fed into my ZMERNAIODR (see how good it works?) and the winning name chosen.

Now pop on over to the Picking Poll pronto and post your pick. Not a plectrum or picture, but preferably your poll preference.

Why? Because I said so!

Too late I know
In the UK we call them Fig Rolls, in the USA, Fig Newtons?
