NAMM 2026 Pedals

I visit guitar stores less and less these days. Not because I buy online but (because I don't any more really) but because (a) everything is a rehash of something that was already done (b) I already have the originals. I don't mean I have old guitars, I just have a few really good examples of classic guitars that I love. Most new guitars, if original, are ugly. If they sounded great I wouldn't mind so much but they tend not to offer anything I can't do with what I already have. I wish there were new guitars which did cool sounds but I'm not into 8-string down-tuned music - nothing against it but it's not my thing.

The only things I would buy now are good quality delays or reverbs. And I have! I build my own amps and drives. There aren't any drive pedals which do for me what the ones I have built can do. Same with amps.

And I will NEVER use AI music anything.

The Fodera Preamp seems interesting. I'm not really searching for a sound specific to those basses and I don't care about the extra bells and whistles (I'm never gonna plug something into it with an 1/8" Jack to play into headphones) but it sounds alright and seems flexible.
