Neural Amp Modeler?

Not sure if any of you have seen this or not yet, was new to me...

Reminded me of a couple weeks ago about a discussion on AI-generated pedal plugins. Cool idea but sounded kinda crappy in execution.

Not really the same thing, but made me think of it...

Anyways as I understand it (and I'm no programmer so I'm probably stating things incorrectly) it's more or less accomplishing similar to Quad Cortex or Kemper "captures" but by training a neural network on an amp's input. Bad news is that depending on hardware used it can take a few hours to generate a model. Good news is that it's free and open-source and sounds really, really good....

Worth a watch IMO.
Here is a comparison against the Quad Cortex.

I saw this a few months ago, the guy doing it posted it on tgp. Looks very cool, interesting that a guy who does machine learning stuff outdid kemper and neural, who’ve made big business (relatively speaking at least) doing tonematching for years.

This sort of stuff looks like it will probably be the future of modeling or at least a big part of it.

I like that if you are into programming there can be a DIY approach to digital guitar tones, which I’m not sure there was before?
