I put my dream of finding a period correct tascam mixer to go with my tape deck on hold for now, and bought this one from evil-corp. Behringer x2442 usb. It’s not as cool as an old tascam, but it should do everything I need it to do.
Then I was hooking it up using some sketchy rca-1/4 adapters and managed to screw up one of the line-out rca jacks on my tape deck. Turns out I popped a solder joint pushing too hard on the adapter.
It took half the pad with it, and wasn’t Desoldering very nicely, so I threw a resistor leg on there for good measure, and we’re back in business.
