A nice RIC 330/12 clone, $298.98 free freight, and another $30 for the state of CA. The action was 1/4" too high (lol), and the strings like hacksaws. The strap button is stripped, and the sound hole is in the wrong spot - too low and too close to the center (wtf?). Easily covered with a real leather strap from Walker and Williams. And I bought a Glarry case for 70-ish instead of adding $135 to the price of the guitar to have it shipped together.

All in all not a bad deal for the price. The neck is straight and everything else is very nice. Sounds great. And looks really nice too. It was supposed to be here for my 67th Birthday on 3/20 but was 2 days late. Got the case today.

It came with a repro Rickenbacker truss rod cover in the bag with the cord, and allen wrenches. Thinking of maybe engraving/filling this one with something clever and not counterfeit....

Is it strung like a Ric 12 string, I believe they swap the top 4 or 6 strings around???

It's standard 12 string. High note, then low note for E through G and B and E have two of the same strings. I'll make a video after I get my luthier to change the strings and set it up. I lowered the strings so I could play it now, but he's just got that magic touch that makes a guitar perfect.

It will be fun to think of a name for the headstock. If you were a Packers fan you could call it a Greenbaypacker. For a more general US football fan you could call it a Quarterbacker. Or if you wanted to imply the wealth status of the average musician you could call it a Shelfstacker. Or if music had been good to you it could be a Wallstreetbacker. If you wanted to moan about the finish you could call it a Thisisnotlacquer. Want to play metal? Call it a Nonemoreblacker. Beatles fan? Shaumacher. Ballet fan? Nuttencracker.

Me? I'd have to call it a Lousyhacker. As a reflection on the player, not the guitar. FWIW there's a fella in Australia who make beautiful Rick inspired guitars whose name is Crocker, so they're known as Crockenbackers.

Happy Belated Birthday, RU1!

Further to HamishR's appellations, the NoneMoreBlacker would require repainting to black with black hardware and refretted to black and Black-Pearloid inlays and binding ... you could put gloss black on flat black or viceversa for the labelling.

Continuing in the vein, albeit not as clever as Hamish's ...
