NGW? First PRS

New Gear Da.... errr... week??? Actually picked this up a couple of days before Christmas, but my company bonus was decent and I had some available "mad money" funds. Backstory is I'd tried a lot of PRS guitars, but just really never liked the feel of the ones that weren't $4500+ with emphasis on the "plus." I was also looking for something with 24 frets and push pull pots that actually worked well. I was considering a Gibson SG Modern, but really couldn't find one to try out, and I just don't like the idea of buying a guitar without playing it at this point. My favorite local guitar store was running a pre-Christmas thing, and I had some points racked up and this baby came in. I played it... stewed on it a few days... went back... played it again... and stopped stewing and gave it a new home...



PRS CE 24 in Sapphire smokewrap burst... beautiful guitar that actually (IMHO) plays better than it looks... and it looks awesome!

Beautiful guitar! My first PRS was when they first released the bolt on's back in the early 90's. I had a CE bolt on with the 5 way rotary (this eventually became the CE 24).

I played it... stewed on it a few days... went back... played it again... and stopped stewing and gave it a new home...

You really don't get the "instant gratification" thing do you?
