Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

Took my kids to our almost dead shopping mall, Lloyd Center the other day. Just trying to kill time on a very rainy Sunday. Kind of surreal, there were only 2 restaurants in the food court. The ice rink survives and was full of people but it's surrounded by shuttered Macy's, Sears, etc.... almost no big corporate names except for like Game Stop. I'd say 65% of the smaller shops are also papered up. There's an effort to revive it with local businesses and to my surprise, my favorite little record store that closed in 2020 has reopened in the old Spencer's Gifts! Musique Plastique has returned! It's hard to dig crates with a 4 and 6 year old in tow but they were chill long enough for me to find this. Screenshot_20230418_133730.jpg

If there’s any question as to if it’s possible for late-career releases to actually be as compelling as those from an artist’s prime years, the Mael bros are the definitive proof. Still popping out bangers 50 years after their debut. This track has all the wit, groove, and chaos you’d come to expect of the cool uncles of pop

I saw them live in NYC last year and they were amazing!
