Drove out to the Washington side of the Oregon panhandle to play disc golf at Skyline, a combo course with carts. That far from civilization the only thing on the radio was sermons and country. Thankfully I found the "western swing hour." This one made me think of @Harry Klippton

I'm on a FUZZ FEST thanks to the STOMPBOX book.


Davie Allen (associated with the Mosrite Fuzzrite in the book) did a bunch of soundtrack work in the '60s, and pretty much every track I've listened to of his has massive amounts of fuzzed out guitar, check out Blue's Theme:

There's a few other playlists on yutoob that feature Allen & the Arrows, check them out for more fuzz-filled phantastical-surf-swagger.



Also, I'm on another Khruangbin kick, learning a whole bunch of Laura Lee's tasty basslines.

Never heard of them. Sounds like they'd be an Emo-meets-post-grunge type of band.

Who doesn't love a band that did things before it was a genre? Like these guys, who did Khanate about a decade before that band was thing. Though that one, through vocals, remains a unique voice in their field. I wouldn't mind more recommendations.
