I fear digital effects. I admit it. Despite that fear, I took an opportunity to rent a new UA Del-Verb and now I have a problem. I love this pedal. I have been through more delays, reverbs, delay-reverbs, and reverb-delays than I have digits upon which to count them. This one is dead easy to dial in, sounds gorgeous and only costs about <checks notes> $500 CAD.

Hence the rental!

But my oh my. It does a better DMM than the last DMM I played through. The plate reverb rivals Catalinbread’s Talisman, which is my personal holy grail plate reverb. The other settings are great too. I’m really hoping I come to hate this pedal because I ain’t got $500 laying around 😆😭🤷🏻‍♂️

I thought about buying a Polara that popped up at a local shop not that long ago. Before I finished thinking, it was gone. I resolved to not make that mistake again.
 
I have a UA Starlight Delay which has the DMM setting. I've only once used an original DMM and was put off by how noisy it was (don't know if it was just the example I tried) but the UA version is great. The thing about the Starlight delay is that it just sounds fab and doesn't get in the way of the guitar. I'm quite a delay snob and this one is the best I've heard in ages. I've owned Strymons, Boss, Ibanez, Eventide etc and currently have an Eventide Rose as well. But the UA Starlight is the one I use. If I'm not using the Starlight I use a TC Flashback Mini! It is fantastic.

The original DMM was notorious for noise!
Out of all the pedal purchases I've made, Electro Harmonix pedals are my least favorite, I only have a Soul Food left that I paid $60.00 AU brand new.
The quickest ebay new pedal I purchased and sold was the Holy Stain, around 1 day!
