NPD! ZhangBucker P90 Prototype vs Lollar 50's Wind P90 - Demo

Ok, it's not the pickup, which is good news. I just threw in an Epiphone P90, same issue. The pots are acting very strangely too. I think I may have a "cooked" pot. Unfortunately new pots won't be here till tomorrow. Might try something in my big bag of salvaged pots later today.
Unfricking believable.......well I found the problem.......................I wired the output jack backwards........

Just goes to show, doesn't matter how experienced you are.......you can still pull bonehead moves from time to time.......

I found that out when I stripped it in order to re-shield the cavities while I wait for the new pots to come in.

Why do you want new pots for if it was the wiring on the Output jack?
I'm waiting for the Wolf P90 to show you it can kick Ass & a report!!!

Well I finally found some "vintage taper" pots that I want to try. But they won't be here until Monday. Right now I'm waiting for the cavity shielding paint to dry, then I'll probably put the same pots back in. But I also have a new tail piece coming in today sometime.

Will post a proper build report when she's all wired up and working. Patience my down under friend.....:ROFLMAO:
(Actually I wired it all up yesterday because of my LACK of patience, I wanted to hear what the pickup sounded like hahahah)

Well, Are we going to see the end result?:)
Oh which? The Vintage taper pots were intended for the Harley Benton LP Junior....post here.
I'm pretty happy with how that guitar turned out. It's a great player and the Wolfetone P90 sounds fantastic. Working on a demo to showcase the versatility of a single pickup + 50's wiring.

Cool, Do yo find your restricted by the Dog ear pickups being non adjustable?

I actually bought a set of shims. You can get the from both Mojotone or Lollar. But I wound up not needing them. The "tall" size dog ear is about the right height for the sound I want for this pickup.

I did the same on my LP. But I didn't catch it myself--I took it to a guitar tech who quickly diagnosed the issue. I felt like a dunce.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...

... you have a spare set of pups POTS sitting around, demanding another guitar project be found so that they may fulfill their lifes' mission.
