Hi everyone,
I'm trying to build a wireless control system for my pedalboard using the nRF24L01 Mini modules. On paper, it seemed perfect cuz it's compact, affordable, and 2.4 GHz should handle my board well, but I’m hitting a wall.
But modules work barely when pedals are a few feet apart, but get flaky beyond that. A gentle nudge or cable movement sometimes causes connection drops, turns out really sensitive. Tried adding decoupling caps and tweaking power, but improvements are minor.
I’ve seen others mention antenna mods or shielding hacks, but I’d love to nail down the root cause first.
Has anyone else tried this for pedal setups? Maybe power filtering isn’t enough, or shielding matters more than expected. Any ideas to stabilize the link, or experience with better antenna setups?
Thanks in advance. I can’t let signal dropouts ruin a riff!
