Another milestone on my quest for all the envelope filters. I like this one quite a bit. Not terribly versatile, but it sounds great. Sadly, it's another one that I've found one sound on, so kinda wasted on me. With that said, I am gonna build another with the pots mounted internally because the one sound I do love is worth having on my board for when I need nothing but the freshest funk.

As far as the board goes, I hate offboard wiring of pots, but this is hardly the worst offender I've built, and it's not laid out as aesthetically as some of the other boards we like to use.

A few parts substitutions, and couple minor mods -
D3 changed to BAT46 from 1N914
R6 changed to 33k from 20k
C6 changed to 1.5u from 2.2u
U1 changed to LM358 from TL072

All the mods serve to refine the envelope detection, and give it a funkier, smoother ride. Fairly subtle changes, but I felt they were worth it.
The filter tones themselves are wonderful, so didn't feel the need to change anything in the signal path. If I had to compare it to anything, I'd say it's fairly close to the 00Funk/ Junk Trunk, but with a smoother voicing and different control set.

Here's a kinda poopy COVID fueled demo with a Bass VI

I built it on veroboard. I never understand why the Decay pot don't do anything. (I made the mods by Sabrotone, but I think I used TagBoard layout).

The decay pot on this one definitely changes the length of the sweep. Do keep in mind, its longer CCW, and shorter CW.

I also highly recommend changing the second TL072 to a 358 or other similar dual with rail-to-rail output. That was the most drastic change I made
