OKKO Variable Input Buffer

Just came across this interesting buffer pedal today. Usually a buffer is just a buffer, but I love the idea of being able to tweak different parameters quickly on the fly to see how things interact. I think it could also work like a pickup simulator for vintage fuzzes? I'm sure it's a pretty simple circuit all told.

Any other info on it? Any gut shots?

To work as a pickup sim (or buffer-buster or whatever you want to call it), I think it would need to have a transformer in it.

This would be a good project for helping understand how impedance works and how it affects the connection between guitar and pedals.
