On/on/on switch type

Does anyone know where I can find out which type of DPDT switch the Carling and Gorva on/on/on switch are? I know taiway ones are type 2, but I don’t have any of those on hand, so before I ordered I wanted to check out the specs on the stock I have, but I can’t find this info anywhere on the google. If anyone happens to know, or know if there’s a list of what manufacturers are what type, I’d appreciate it! Thanks!

you could just do a continuity test on what you have on hand

Up & Down position are the same for Type 1 & 2.
Switch in the Middle position has opposite connections.

It was recently brought to my attention that StompBoxParts now has Type 2 DPDT ON/ON/ON as well.

I just grabbed a bunch of them for myself and can confirm they are Type 2.

PS: @hybridpi — if you really need the opposite Type of the Type you have, you can carefully pry them open and flip the little widget in the bottom around; I've done it with a Type1 Taiway switch to make it a Type2.
