Orientation of transistors on Percolation Station?

Hi All, building the pedalpcb harmonic percolator clone and ran into a block: what orientation (collector/emitter) do the two transistors (Q1 and Q2) sit in the pcb?


TRANSISTORS are
Q1: 2N404A
Q2: 2N3565

Cheers appreciate the help. I'm using 2N3906 and 2N3904 as substitutions to the originals and the pinouts are reversed to one another.

You're welcome.

Just bear in mind that the 404 is a Germanium PNP and the 3906 is silicon-based. So, while it may well work with your substitute for Q1, it may not sound quite the same as the original. Perhaps worth using sockets so you can try out various PNPs for Q1.
