P-1 Second Buffer Stage Toggle

So, say I wanted to toggle the second buffer stage of a Cornish P1 where it could either be on or off...

Can I get away with using an SPDT on/on toggle like this:

Or should I use a DPDT on/on and completely isolate the second buffer:

I'm leaning toward the second option...

I think you'd leach signal to ground through R37 if you went with the SPDT method.
Also, keep in mind, bypassing one stage will invert the phase.

That was one of my concerns about the SPDT as well...

Hurm... I may just have to breadboard this up to see the impact of the phase inversion...
