Parentheses 2020 goes dead when Distortion engaged

Strange thing going on, the pedal passes sound in bypass and the boost and octave channels work, but it goes silent with the distortion enagaged.

I am also noticing that the LED in D4 isn't lighting up at all as signal passes through the pedal, though it lights up when I test it with my DMM.

Any idea where I'd want to start looking where the fault may be?

Problem solved. Well, I can't exactly put my finger on what the issue was in the end, but the problem seems to have gone away after tearing the pedal all the way down, reflowing some joints and swapping out some of the socketed components.

The best I can come up with was I had some dud parts or a short somewhere. The thing roars now. Also, put me down as another strong proponent of using 1N5817 diodes for the octave section.
