Part alternative for LD1117S33 on the protoboard ?

Hi there,

This part as indicated by others is hard to impossible to find. As i understand, max current for this one is 1.3A. There are however 2 other version with respectively 0.8A and 1A output. Does the circuit really require 1.3A or can we go lower ?

The ProtoBoard itself pulls no current, the current requirement depends on what you plan to prototype.

0.8A / 1A are probably adequate for most applications. Mouser has the LD1117S33CTR, I'm fairly certain that's what shipped with the ProtoBoard kit for years.
