5 knob, 2 switch modded DOD FX65 circuit, dip switchable to the BASS FX62.
All BBD and slows to a crawl. Down to near flangez but different.
Has an Andy setting for that.
A bit of a unicorn but wow, if you love slow analog chorus, it's gonna get yer feels.
Oh. And stereo.

Probably an idiotic number of parts and unicorn farts but hey. Trying to be selective here.
FX65 schem attached.
Edit: all the FX65 schems I can find are copy protected or in a weird format (webp?)

Just came across this TB post regarding the DOD Deep Freeze:

The DOD DEEP FREEZE is outstanding! First time using it this morning onstage. I tried a lot of chorus pedals in the past, and I decided not to replace with my keeper from my last setup (Providence Adamine Bass Chorus) since it still had issues cutting through the mix. The Deep Freeze kept the low end better than any other I’ve tried, and without making it too rich and muffling the definition of the psychedelic tones. I’m super impressed. Bass stayed the same EQ in the mix but I got sweet and rich chorus tones. It’s super easy to deal in something interesting and usable. I figured most newer pedals I’d want, most of which left something for me to desire, went for basically the same ballpark as this collectors pedal, and I’m super happy and impressed. Lots of compliments from the band who usually don’t notice those details.

A 90s analog gem!

How far off is the PX/FX65/62 circuit from the DOD FX63 Deep Freeze?

for a chorus of bass threads.

Not sure how they compare but the added functionality of the pastfx unit is pretty awesome. Judging by the closeness of functionality and dod model number, wonder if they are built on the same board.
I love sloooooow chorus and this does that well.
Add on,found this here, the FX63 was a bassified FX64 Ice Box and replaced the FX62 in the DOD lineup.

So, the 63 was to the 64 what the 62 is to the 65. How the hell DOD landed on those numbers, who knows.

I had a version of one of these. They’re fine analog chorus but didn’t wow me. No better than an analog Boss CE-5 really…which I can get to sound almost identical to the CE-2

I think what sets the FX65, and the few other choruses that have it, is the delay time. Makes a very bit difference. Lets you do the flange or chorus tones.

The old Morley Crystal chorus had that sound but didn’t have a delay time pot. Suppose it was just fast. I like the liquid chorus 2 for the delay time and the Bbe mind Bender is kind of in between chorus and flange as well.

The pastfx version extends the times further out as well. Additionally, the new revision has a Regen button and internal Regen amount trimmer to get into deep flange territory. Yet to see any demos of that feature though.
I've almost talked myself into just buying one. $195usd shipped as of a few days ago. Not terrible. Hopefully if Robert ever does one, he'll move Regen to a front pot. May be a good use for a switched pot as it would save a switch for the Regen feature.

I went with her Elastic Matresse v4 instead though I think the 65 can get very close to its tone and is also more versatile. However I’ve always been a Mistress fan and don’t really care for alot regen in any modulation pedals. Do in my analog delays though!
