Patch cables: whatcha using?

Oh, that's mostly what they are here too, they just also have weekly sales of random other goods, including music gear about once a year. And you can get some decent stuff cheaply, such as my patch leads. And their regular stock is actually pretty good too, I find. Some of it, like their chocolate, is excellent.
That makes it even better

Glad you started this thread, I have been in bad need of upgrading my random collection of patch cords.. especially since my pedal collection has out grown the few cords I have, (I was a minimalist for a long time and still am to some extent... but I digress.) here’s my question for those that make your own. Is it cost effective or just because you can?
I don't like to scrape the bottom of the barrel with cheap bullshit so with that said, I don't think it's more cost effective. Square plug connectors are almost $4 a piece, make that 2 per cable and it's getting kinda spendy, but the cable itself is dirt cheap compared to the connectors

@Mentaltossflycoon is using the same backline as Rush.

I used to be a stagehand in a previous life and worked a Rush show ages ago. I remember unloading all of those damn washing machines wondering what the heck they needed them for. Then I walked out to the stage and saw them all lined up on stage and asked one of the touring guys what that was about and he explained it to me. Pretty funny guy, that Geddy.

I like the lows of a Maytag but I prefer Whirlpools for recording.
Is that Gigrig power supply?
Yes, love it. Highly recommend 👌. Need to buy another isolator already.
Damn dude that is a lot of pedals! What are those big trapezoidal enclosures in the middle? I only know about the Hammond ones that are like a trapezoidal 1590b
Also a hammond. The purple white and black stripe was my first trapezoid. I stuffed a DAM ezekiel, a hogsfoot, and a prunes n custard in there. All 3 fuzzdog boards as I had not yet discovered this lovely place. I think the thing that drew my attention here was the quarantine fuzz.

I've tried lots of different options. I've used George Ls but they don't like being plugged/unplugged, same with Lava. Lava I have had better luck with but they still don't like being moved. So now I have some cable - maybe it's Mogami? - and a bunch of Switchcraft right-angle plugs, both pancake and the narrower ones. I don't mind soldering them. They last a lot longer and take movement a lot better than solderless. And Switchcraft take solder much better than everything else.

Ok here's some size comparison for you all. Left to right these are square plug sps4, square plug sp400, Rean RP2RCF-BAG, and a generic redco pancake. The Rean unit is only slightly bigger than the square plug, but twice as thick. It's also about half the price of the square plug and available at mouser
