I was looking around for a cheap used amp to put on my bench to test pedals with then i realized i would rather build one. I have tolex and why not. I found a devi ever Ruby PCB on Tayda's website but i was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for PCB's for this purpose? small speaker reccomendations?

Kind of curious how 4 of these speakers would sound in a micro bassman head for practise...

In my experience with the rubys they distort too easily for a good pedal testing. You’d be better off using the headphone amp project available through pedal pcb. There’s quite a few power amp boards available that you’d just need to make a little pre amp for to put in front of that would work far better. I can’t even remember which one I bought now but Amazon and eBay have a ton of them and then just something like the box and all eq in front of it works great. I would avoid ones with the giant heat sinks as it just makes finding/designing an enclosure more of a pain.
