I have to admit that I’ve never played through the Krank amp that this pedal emulates, but I now wish I had! Lots of high gain and saturation here, and performs well over a clean amp. If you’re into metal, this one’s a great addition to your effects arsenal.
This is a beginner-friendly project and goes together quickly and easily. Short list of components- just an LM386 and a 5088. Kudos also to Darren at Heavy Metal FX for quick turnaround and great communication after the order. All my orders with them have been consistently trouble free and professionally packaged.
Think a little more buzz than an Angry Andy and you’re in the neighborhood of the Maximum Crank.
