PCBGMania back in action

It would be nice to get a proper Sagan PCB. I believe one of the guys making them passed away, and the other simply went MIA and took his site down. But the tiny number of people who want to build one probably doesn't justify the amount of work it would take to revive the whole project.

Have you put a word out to anyone on the forum? Someone might have one in their stash. I am not sure if diablochris is on this forum but he is on the Madbean forum and instagram, he designed the circuit and Carchacias (sp?) effects is based in Israel. Not sure if Daniel was affected by everything going on but that may explain the absence.

@Robert how about a PPCB Sagan delay? Carcharias has been out of stock for at least 4 years now I think

What would be the diff from the Hydra?

Sagan is PT2399-based, the Hydra is an FV-1

I was talking more about the sound/features of the thing. Like if I've already built a Hydra, why do the Sagan? I can imagine PT2399 would mean some lo-fi-ness.

I have the carcharias sagan delay built somewhere. Once I went thru all that ordeal I didn't even box it because it was just OK, but I'm not one for super warpy delays usually. I'd just build a combo of the hydra and dmd-2/space spiral if I wanted that kinda thing, I'm sure it would be easier lol

Effects loop for the delay path. Dry kill. 2 band eq on the delay line. Triangle or square wave modulation on the delay line with rate and depth pots. Slam/swell feature for momentary bursts of all delay lines at full feedback.

Hm. The Dromtydning and Hydra pretty much punch all the good delay+modulation fun I think I can have.

It's more about chasing that high of completing a big build with an unnecessary number of controls and features that you'll never use. It's why I keep an Aion Redshift on hand but use the XC Phase exclusively. To flex on the haters.
