does one exist? also, does a pcb exist that does what the jhs switchback does?

Wdym by pedal switcher? The JHS seems simple enough to make with some jacks and passive switches, it doesn’t look like the loops are active? There is a thread about switching you could check out, let me see if I can find it.

the switchback would be my second choice. ideally i'd like to build a pedal switcher as these things have become ridiculously expensive for what they are. They are just a board of relays with some logic IC

Oh so like a looper? I think there are folks on the forum who have done that, try searching for pedal looper.
