Great circuit; open, airy, and growly when it needs to be. I find lots of transparent overdrive and heradroom. I have built a few of these but not in a 1590a so here is the build. Myself, I prefer the Greer Southland but I am not a Nashville player.
I was able to easily put it in a 1590a. Basically the same board as the Southern Belle and that one fit. I made two of these mini-Lightspeeds - the other one is yellow. The 9mm pots work great for this build and the enclosed jacks fit easily without modification. I did use a low profile footswitch. The LED is blue and it is in a 3mm clear freznel. The knobs came from Tayda. For the enclosure it is a 1590a from Tayda and it has a film free label with Spraymax 2k clear. Note the melted powder coat on the yellow enclosure. It is Tayda and the first time I melted one on the film free bake.
I used these adapter boards (from amplified parts) to connect the potentiometers and they made the job easy. You can see that I had to bend the legs of the large 1u film capacitor at C2 and the 10n at C9- they could not go under the board because of the pots. But it all fits! I used a piece of automotive 3m to hold the board in place.
