I keep returning to this circuit because the ROI is usually great. Today... everything went wrong. I have previously stuffed this in a 1590a but this time... I had nothing - there are barely any parts but I had no signal. Bad BC108, wrong volume potentiometer installed, LED issues from footswitch. Long story short at 10am I started populating this board (takes about a half hour) and boxing this circuit. Nine hours later I had a working pedal. It was extremely frustrating and also rewarding because I figured it out. I then messed with the trimmers until I was tired of it and gave it a good enough designation.

White powder coated 1590a enclosure with decal and 2k satin clear coat. The knobs are 12.5mm aluminum - two gold one red. In person the enclosure is stunning. I used a red 3mm LED soldered directly to the board and a clear freznel. Lumberg DC jack and enclosed side jacks. Low profile footswitch with breakout board. 9mm off board potentiometers. I did bend the two electrolytic caps down although I do not think it was necessary. I used 22 gage prebond for all wiring.

Notes:
  1. Test your BC 108s.
  2. You really just need one short 47u electrolytic cap and PPCB sells them
  3. Do research about how to bias using the trimmers - I just used my ear
  4. The LED soldered directly on the board works great
  5. Making sure the sundial knob is centered with the decal requires planning no matter what size enclosure you use

i was thinking about doing this pedal, with the addition of adding a pickup simulator to the in to make it wireless friendly
there's a place making the pickup sim as an addon board for their own kit but they made the board so you could make a stand alone pedal out of it if desired.. so it wouldn't be too hard to add it to any fuzz and keep it neat

I hope you give it a whirl and post a build report. This is a small board so you will have room for another PCB.

Pretty sure Aion already sells a fuzz face with a pickup simulator in it to save you some trouble.
